The service

TheTranslate provides online professional document translation, including certified translation and standard translation, through the quote and checkout flow on this website.

We do not provide legal, medical, or immigration advice. We do not file applications with any authority.

Quotes and orders

A quote is based on the files you upload, the languages you select, the service you choose, and any add-ons. Analysis of a document may take a short time. You should review the price and estimated delivery date before you pay.

An order is placed when payment is completed. Work on an order may begin promptly after payment. Historic orders keep the pricing captured at checkout; this website’s public pages show the current offer.

Your responsibilities

You must have the right to upload the documents and to ask us to translate them. You are responsible for the accuracy of languages, service type, and any instructions you provide.

You must not upload content that you are not allowed to share, or that is illegal to possess or transmit.

Certified translation

Certified translations include a certification statement confirming the completeness and accuracy of the translation.

Notarization is included only if you select it as an add-on. We do not offer sworn translation for a named court or country.

We do not guarantee that any school, employer, government department, or other organisation will accept the translation.

Pricing and payment

Prices are shown on the quote in the currency stated there. Payment is taken through our payment provider. You authorise us to charge the amount displayed at checkout.

Turnaround

Delivery dates shown before payment are estimates based on the service, order size, and any expedited option. They are not a guarantee of a specific clock time.

Delivery

Completed translations are made available for download from the order page. Download links are time-limited. You should keep your own copy of files you need to retain.

Errors and corrections

If you believe a completed translation contains an error, contact support with the order number and a description of the issue. Reasonable correction requests will be reviewed.

We do not offer unlimited revisions. There is no self-serve revision feature. Changes to the source material or instructions after the translation is complete may be treated as additional work.

Cancellations and refunds

Orders may begin processing promptly after payment. Whether a cancellation or refund is available depends on how much work has already been performed and on the circumstances.

Contact support promptly from your account or using the email on your order if you need to cancel or request a refund. We will review the request.

Where applicable law gives you mandatory cancellation or refund rights, those rights are not excluded by these terms.

Accounts

You must keep sign-in details confidential. Activity through your account or order link may be treated as yours. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access.

Intellectual property and permissions

You retain rights in your source documents. You grant us a limited licence to store, analyse, and translate those files in order to provide the service.

The translation we deliver is provided for your use in connection with the order. Our website design, software, and trademarks remain ours.

Prohibited content

You must not use the service to translate or store illegal content, or to attempt to disrupt or probe the service. We may refuse or cancel an order that we reasonably believe violates these terms or the law.

No professional advice

Nothing on the website or in a delivered translation is legal, medical, or immigration advice. You should take advice from a qualified professional where you need it.

Availability

We aim to keep the website available but do not warrant uninterrupted access. Maintenance, faults, or events outside our control may affect quotes, payment, or downloads.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided for translating documents you supply. We are not responsible for an authority’s decision to accept or reject a translation, or for losses that come from relying on a translation as legal, medical, or immigration advice.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that, our liability arising out of an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page applies to new quotes and orders placed after it is published. Completed orders remain subject to the terms in force when you paid, unless a change is required by law.
